Missed setting up Sitemap!! Doh! All set now 👏
Just ran through 'Get Set Up on Google' and although I already had Search Console set up (so I thought!) I didn't have a sitemap set! Doh! It's now set up and we are on a roll 🙌

@Andy Gailey Nice one! That’s a big step sorted. The sitemap really helps Google crawl and understand your site faster, so it’s great you’ve got it in place now. You’ll probably notice over the next few weeks that more of your pages start to show up in Search Console. On a roll indeed 👏

@Andy Gailey no you won’t, Google runs a scrape every couple of days automatically. What I tend to do though - if I write a new blog post, I log into Search Console and request index on that link. Rather than wait 2-3 days for a sitemap run to pick it up - it speeds up the process and prioritises it 😇
Which Website Builder?
Just wondering who uses what? I’ve been using the Weebly by Square platform for 10 years now and on the whole I’m happy with it, although I do need to spend more time pruning it, like a garden it can get unruly if not maintained 🤔 Let me know if yours is not in the Poll

I've generally only really used Wordpress, Wix is the worst really. My current site is built in High Level with their built in website builder and is basically a few pages thrown together - I'm not a designer at all lol

@Kellie Tannahill just personal preference, but also in the industry it’s kind of perception. In terms of technical stuff, they all do basically the same thing, people just thing Wix is clunky to use, don’t worry 🤓
Google Ads for Free Keyword Research?
Have just found out that by signing up to Google Ads it has a keyword research tool. I had to sign up with my card details but you don't have to activate a campaign to gain access to the tool. Has anybody else used this Google Ads tool for keyword research? What was your experience with it? It seems like by using Google I'm accessing keyword information at the source 🤔

Yes, you’re right, the Google Ads Keyword Planner can be really useful. It’s a free way to get keyword ideas straight from Google itself. You don’t need to run ads, just having the account gives you access. The only thing to keep in mind is that the data is geared towards ads, so the numbers are estimates rather than exact. What I like to do is combine it with Google Search Console. Planner gives you new ideas and search volume ranges, then Search Console shows you what you’re already showing up for. Between the two, you get both fresh ideas and proof of what’s actually working on your site. Action step: This week, take 2 or 3 keywords you find in Keyword Planner and check them against your Search Console data. See if you’re already showing up for them or if they’re new opportunities. Let me know how you get on with it 😇
