🗞️ SKOOL NEWS #78: GROWTH BOOST IS GETTING A MAJOR UPGRADE! 🚀 (again)
This week’s news is BIG for community owners! Skool is making Growth Boost more transparent, so you can see what’s happening behind the scenes and what you need to do to unlock more growth opportunities. 🚀 𝟭. 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬, 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗪𝗧𝗛 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗦𝗧! A new Growth tab is being introduced to show your current level, the benefits available, the requirements for the next level, and the ads running for your community. Here’s how the four levels are designed: 🔹 Level 1: Your cover image appears in the Discovery carousel. 🔹 Level 2: 10 custom ads promoting your community. 🔹 Level 3: 30 custom ads and a dedicated campaign, with up to $1,000/day in ad spend. 🔹 Level 4: Partnership ads, your own video ads and the potential for up to $10,000/day in dedicated ad spend. These are potential ad-spend limits, not guaranteed budgets. Actual promotion still depends on performance. 📈 𝟮. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗧 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟 𝗨𝗣? According to this week’s episode, the requirements are based on activity over the previous 30 days: • Level 2: 100 About Page visitors and 1 new customer. • Level 3: 3,000 About Page visitors, your Skool link in your social bios, consistent organic promotion and 10 Skool Network signups. • Level 4: 10,000 About Page visitors, your Skool link in your social bios, consistent organic promotion and 30 Skool Network signups. The higher levels unlock more advertising options, but performance still matters. 🎨 𝟯. 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗔𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦! Skool generates custom ads using information from your cover image, About Page and pricing. That means your branding, messaging and offer help shape how your community is presented to potential members. The system can also refresh your ads when you make significant changes to your cover image, price or About Page. ⭐ 𝟰. 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪𝗦 𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗔 𝗦𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗕𝗨𝗧 𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 Reviews will now sort by Top by default on About Pages, helping stronger reviews appear first. Visitors can still choose to sort by most recent. A good reminder to encourage genuine feedback from happy members!

@Lisa Viviers I have no doubt we'll get there. Growth is inevitable when we focus and continuously put effort in, right?

@Oddysey Campbell In another community, someone had made a post about focus and maintaining your focus, and my post just said "squirrel." You know, 'cause I keep things so serious all the time.

@Oddysey Campbell Agreed. Life should be fun, and work should also be fun. I certainly have a lot of fun with what I'm doing, and I'm having a ball coaching as well. And I got to say, my daughter is teaching me to be way more silly and not so serious. And I like it much better.
TUESDAY THOUGHTS: What might your members see that you don't?
As community owners, we spend so much time building, improving and managing our communities that we naturally see them through our own eyes. We know why we created a particular classroom. We know what we intended a post or activity to achieve. And we know how much thought goes into the things we do behind the scenes. But our members don't necessarily see all of that. They experience what it's like to arrive, find their way around, decide whether to participate and work out whether this is the right place for them. And sometimes, there's a difference between the experience we 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 we're creating and the one people actually have. Here's something I've been thinking about: 𝙄𝙛 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪?* Not what you hope they'd say, but what they might genuinely experience. I'd love to hear your thoughts. ❤️

I will have to ask my members again what their experience actually is. Every time somebody goes into the classroom, their expression is usually like, "Whoa, there's a lot of stuff in here." And I'm not sure if that is overwhelm or if that is a recognition of value. I feel like they would tell me that the onboarding is pretty smooth and that the schedule is nice and regular because it is. That part, I feel totally confident about. Maybe the messaging gets a little muddled because I don't always post about weight loss or healthy food. I also post about other things I'm interested in and things that are going on in my life, which I feel is appropriate, but I also want to make sure that it's balanced.
🌱 GROWTH MONDAY: Are you working on the right thing?
When we want our communities to grow, it's easy to jump straight into action. More content. More promotion. More engagement activities. Maybe a new classroom or another offer. We're busy doing all the things we believe will move our communities forward. But here's something worth thinking about… 𝘼𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙞𝙜𝙜𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙤𝙧 𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙤𝙣?🤔 Sometimes we focus on getting more people through the door when we haven't looked at the experience they're having once they arrive. Sometimes we try to increase engagement when members aren't quite sure how to get involved. And sometimes we keep creating new things when what we already have simply needs a little attention. Growth isn't always about doing more. Sometimes it's about taking a step back and choosing where our effort is needed most. 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: What's taking up most of your attention in your community right now? And is it the area you believe needs the most attention? Let's talk! 👇

Honestly, I'm streamlining and trying to make more concise the things that I already have. I'm actually hiding some classroom modules because I felt like there was just too much. "Too much choice equals no choice" really is what that equates to, so I'm aiming for a cleaner, more concise experience all the way around for my members and for myself also. So, to that end, my classroom is a little cleaner. I'm not offering as much because when I check, no one was going in there anyway. And it makes me feel accomplished to clean and polish the things that are already there to make them feel actually finished, so that I don't have to go back to them over and over.

@Lisa Viviers Thank you. I appreciate that. And yes, I agree. We can all be healthier. My community focuses on weight loss because weight loss is measurable, and at the same time, weight loss is simply a byproduct of applying the principles that I teach to create a healthier lifestyle. You really get the full package.
