Mirrored Chaos - New York Nov. 2025
The city with so many different faces, opportunities, and personalities. I’ve always felt that NYC represents a kind of "beautiful, organized chaos" — a feeling I wanted to translate into this frame. I wanted the viewer to get lost in these layers for a second, be it visually or politically. Captured on my trusted Rolleiflex in my favorite city to explore. What do you see when looking at this set? :)

@Emanuel Schi All the chaos you feel, creates an inside distortion, shown in the first two photos. Looking for light and structures, you find yourself taking by instinct, people in their natural habitat, a habitat that you don't belong to, but endures to those people the same emotions and struggles you've experienced where else. Heavily used glove left on a fence - emotional, Call of duty-6 men transporting a heavy block, Make America Great Again - someone taking his "home" in a baggage on the streets of the city, a mountain of garbage in front of a banner advertising luxury and the irony of a naked artist singing/playing his guitar in the middle of the street. It is strange but it is reality, where all these things coexist.
Assignment #12: Echoes in Stone
This is my first assignment. I'm Indian and we have a lot of temples. So I took this photo at a temple, but instead of capturing the whole structure, I wanted to focus on a detail that most people usually pass by. The closer I got, the more the pillar started to look alive, more about texture, shape, and time than architecture itself. What drew me in was the contrast between the rough carvings and the smooth circular forms above it. I liked how changing perspective made something familiar feel completely different.

@Bob Fischer thank you but it would be my pleasure to buy it from Amazon as a hard copy. It would be too much on your expenses to deliver to Albania. I appreciate your generosity.šŸ™ https://www.amazon.com/Vignettes-Street-2011-2015-Robert-Fischer/dp/1523699256/ref=sr_1_2?crid=29PVZSBNDTV49&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.VFBhht50NhVUpaKqfdw2BBTHwAo3g_e32KP6fV05yXI.F23X4cPfUNNgD6jq2WMrgW_yusLs-2Q8eE4P4j2yCSQ&dib_tag=se&keywords=robert+fischer+vignettes&qid=1778575529&sprefix=robert+fischer+vignette%2Caps%2C209&sr=8-2
What music do you listen to, when scanning?
It might sound weird, but whenever I scan my negatives, I basically always listen to classical music. I just feel it fits the activity. Anyone else?šŸ˜‚

@Bill Hunter that is why I love being part of this community! All we have the same passion, but expressed differently. And it is amazing how our views meet in some points and add also new perspectives to our way of seeing things.
Ground zero jarrett
Santa monica The bad thing about this image that I printed it myself it's an analog image and something went wrong with the developing and it came out blurry and spots and clear and other spots. Basically it was an accident but it gives an atmosphere to the image of the bomb going off it makes it extremely creepy I love the effect sometimes accidents are meant to happen In Santa Monica Park there's a Robert Arnesen sculpture of an atomic bomb blast that's made out of very heavy chain jarrett is son he was 12 at the time and we went there and I had him put on a cow costume in a mask a Friday the 13th mask and that's how I came up with the idea for the shot Frankly the shot really doesn't require an explanation it's more the shock value of what it is than explaining how I put it together or what it means it means what it is or to quote my therapist it is what it is

The horror itself wearing a cow costume. Irony? Yes. In the last call you @Bob Fischer mentioned you like irony. Well it doesn't surprise me at all. I can explain that irony itself is another way of contrast you search for your photography. Contrast doesn't have to be portretized in colors or lights and shadows, but also in this sense, irony.
