@Alayna Weimer if you need help let us know. You can download the version that best suits you. Productive Brain will help, watch some of my content on that.
Transitioning from Things3
I'm trying my 2nd Brain task system and having a hard time conceptualizing it compared to Things3 that I have used for a long time. For instance, when I have a project in Things3, I can list several individual tasks with notes as a check list. I have several of these in TEMPLATES that I can copy and use again when the same type project reoccurs. How would I do that in Notion with this system? I love the idea of having all my notes, goals, etc in one place so really want this to work.

We can convert this most likely. Is there a way to "export" out of things3? Can you get your tasks in a CSV list or something? Or are they stuck there? Also maybe look at Things3 Api if it's exists. You might be able to use something like make.com to automatically port out and map all of your tasks to Notion. If you need help with this drop me a DM.

Go into properties settings, make the property you want to see visible. If that property doesn't exist you can create a new one. :)
Personalizing views and icons
Hello everyone! I have a question for Carter regarding the Productive Brain 4 template: How can I personalize the template to use my preferred automatic icons and covers? I love your product and find it easy to use, but I'd like to customize the automatic icons for each section. While I know how to change icons manually, I can't seem to set my preferred icons to appear automatically. For example, I want a new Goal page to always have a target icon by default. The same issue applies to page covers - I'd like to set custom default covers for different types of pages. Is there a way to customize these automatic elements in the template? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

How do I...?
- Show Database sub items in the home screen (Areas, Subareas, Actions, Resources). Currently I have to click on "Database" and then click on "Actions" or "Resources." - Make keyboard shortcuts for the different routine views (Focus, Plan, Process) - Make keyboard shortcuts for the different database items (Areas, Sub areas, Actions, Resources) - Convert an Action item to a Resource (but keep the original action related to the newly created resource). I add a lot of notes to actions, and they become good resources later on. Is there a FAQ section? Thx so much!

@Shalene Hatton Hey Shalene! I just made a custom video giving you an idea of how to implement this. I hope it helps! :) https://www.loom.com/share/e049963de35d4adbb1b763035fede9fb?sid=0cc118b7-59dc-4972-b064-a4ab6485c75b If you ever need to find this video I'm also adding it to the classroom.

@Francesco Della Valle hey Francesco! - your going to want to create a “page template” in said database. So for the goals database, click the blue “new” icon drop down in the upper right corner of the database. Add a new template, edit the default settings, click away. Now go into the “new” button again and set that new one your created to “default”. - Now if you are using the quick capture buttons you can go over to the home page and edit the “quick capture” buttons as well. You’ll want to go into the automation, find where it says “select template” in the automation steps and alter that to use your template when “creating a new page” Checkout my Notion full tutorial at 1:20:00 I go in depth on this: https://youtu.be/kOf3QSBV29Y?si=Jd9Bt2G-21-6sfe1
