I’m considering opening a small (paid) group mentorship for people who want to build a coaching business using YouTube — not just grow a channel, but actually turn it into clients and income. This would be for you if: - you’re already posting (or serious about starting) - you want to attract clients, not just views - you feel like your content isn’t translating into business What I’m seeing is a lot of people are doing “the right things” on YouTube…but they’re still invisible when it comes to getting clients. And that’s a positioning + authority problem — not a content problem. I’m thinking about creating something more hands-on where I can help a small group fix this directly. Before I build it, I want to see who’s actually serious about this. If you vote “yes” — comment “COACH” and I’ll reach out when I map this out.

Channel Name: My Name or My Project Name
Alexa. I am following through on my Youtube comment that I am here to show up and grow up. In Jan - I launched a Mighty Network community called Walking Sober - Walking was a big part of my journey to Sobriety- hence the name. My domain is walking sober. My community Walking Sober Club. So when I turned to Youtube - I made a Walking Sober Channel- 10 subs My personal channel - with my name Terry Grier - has about 350 subs. I had the idea of doing both and wound up doing neither. I consulted my AI (Claude) and it thinks my name Terry Grier - is better channel than a branded channel. and I tend to agree. It would be 95% sobriety / recovery and about 5% other but that other is still going to be around my journey and story etc. Any thoughts?

Hey @Terry Grier ! Welcome! Great to see you here. Yes, I think going with your name is solid idea, especially if you are comfortable with it. You are the brand and it keeps things easier if you ever find you want to pivot. With regards to content, also a great direction - niche focused with the sobreity. One thing to consider is you don't have to do separate videos showcasing your personality or your life, but rather embed it in the videos about sobreity. Your story is why you are here doing this. So just inject your lifestyle and your personality into your videos. For example: if you like say riding motorcycles, you can make some of your examples or stories include that as a teaching point. "The first time I hopped on a motorcyle I was scared out of my mind, but once I learned the basics, I realized I could do this and man was it freeing/invigorating etc." right so you dont have to think of them as separte videos per se, but rather infused into your videos.
Happy to be here
Hello! Mary Schiller here. I'm thrilled to be part of this group because I have seen what YouTube has done for my business, even though I've been haphazard about it, and now I want to use it intentionally. I have 30 years of experience as a writer, editor and online educator. In 2016, I started a life-coaching business and have done some business coaching along the way, too. My specialty is helping solopreneurs create and share "authority assets," starting with a mini-book. Short books on Amazon + my YouTube channel have been the two biggest sources of clients for me. On the personal side, I'm originally from California but moved to Paris, France, in 2017, with my husband. I'm an unabashed cat lady, although I don't have any right now! We're hoping the "cat distribution system" will find us soon.

Interview with Vitor of Vidpros
Recently I did a podcast interview with Vitor and he had such great questions - so I thought I would share it here with you. They are an editing company (I haven't used them) utilizing YouTube to grow their brand with a podcast. Smart move in my book! Here's the interview if you would like to have a watch.
Day 18.... And maybe a WIN
Alright my friends… today was Day 18 and we dove into playlists — and I can definitely see how powerful this is. It’s not just organizing videos… it’s actually creating a path for someone. Like taking them from where they are and guiding them step by step deeper into your world. That part I understand. But I’ll be real with you… this is also where things can start to feel overwhelming if you let it. There is SO much to learn — playlists, titles, thumbnails, SEO, watch time… and I started catching myself thinking, “There’s no way I can do all of this and still get a video out.” And that’s where I had to check myself. (I was talking to the laptop"This is not a 10 minute thing to do" LOL Because if I try to apply everything perfectly right now… I’ll never hit upload. So what I’m doing is this:I’m learning all of it… but only applying what I can right now. Some things I’ll use immediately Some things I’ll understand and come back to later. And some things I’m just being aware of for now Because this isn’t my full-time job (yet), and I don’t have the time to make everything perfect — but I am building the knowledge and getting better every day. And I think that’s a win… at least I hope it is. Also not sure what this means yet, but I had a friend message me saying YouTube has started putting ads on some of my videos. I don’t fully understand it, but it sounds encouraging… like something is starting to move in the right direction. So I’m going to keep going, keep learning, and keep uploading. If anyone else is feeling a little overwhelmed… you’re not alone. Just keep showing up and do what you can. Appreciate all of you I came across this picture today so thought I would share, This is what happens when you don't speak Spanish while in Mexico. Telling your wife don't help me I want to order on my own. so for breakfast I had chocolate cake...... I wasn't mad @Dr. Saundra Stancil @Jenny Sharratt @Jaye Brunner @Dajana K.

"So what I’m doing is this:I’m learning all of it… but only applying what I can right now. Some things I’ll use immediately Some things I’ll understand and come back to later. And some things I’m just being aware of for now" YES EXACTLY!!! This is precisely what you should do. Whenever I take a course, I listen to all the information, and I apply what I can in that moment and then something else in another moment next day or next week. Step by step you will layering on so many new things, faster than you realize taking it one step at a time.
