Question for Other Skool Community Owners
I’m looking for some outside perspective on a moderation situation in my community. I have a member who has repeatedly violated clearly stated community guidelines despite being directly reminded of them and despite multiple recent community-wide reminders. The issues have included posting promotional/social content outside designated areas, continuing conversations with me in comments after I’ve established that members shouldn’t do that, repeated tagging, and other behavior that has required me to repeatedly moderate/remove content. I’ve recently updated my Community Culture/Guidelines and onboarding information to make expectations even clearer. The member has access to those resources and the rules apply regardless of whether a member has personally read them. This member has also received paid/free access through my community, so I’m specifically wondering how other community owners approach repeated rule violations when the member has a paid membership, won access, or otherwise has some form of special access. At what point do you stop reminding/re-directing and simply remove the member because the behavior is no longer a good fit for the community? I’m not looking for advice about the individual personally — I’m interested in how other community owners handle the moderation/business side of this.

@Emma Pollard I agree. I plan to do better in the future. She was not flagged and I ban people who are unless someone actually knows them. I did end up reporting her to Skool and banning her from my community. She got a warning and violated the rules again

Thank you for the warm welcome, everyone! Apologies on the delay in responding. I have been quite ill. I usually don’t stay off Skool that long. I’m also working on new work hours and my sister’s wedding is this weekend. I’m a bridesmaid. Anyway I’m a single mom and solo parent to a toddler. I run the free community Mamas with Missions and a course called FACED TO BE SEEN. 🤍
