🚨 STOP WAITING FOR CLARITY (IT’S A TRAP) 🚀🧠
@Laura Burke dropped a stellar lesson HERE in the Classroom on why "not being ready" is just a fancy word for fear. As a pioneer in entrepreneurial education, she knows exactly how to build a bias toward action. We dive into: ✅ The "Ready" Lie: Why waiting for clarity is usually just procrastination. ✅ School vs. Learning: Why traditional education often fails entrepreneurs. ✅ Fear Management: The "Scuba Method" for being simultaneously terrified and excited. ✅ The Power of Access: Why asking for a network is more valuable than a recommendation. ✅ 3 Daily Habits: Simple moves to get 1% better every single day.

Thanks for the opportunity to talk about entrepreneurial education & having an entrepreneurial mindset - you know it’s totally my jam! 😄🙌💗 I also just re-posted on Linkdedin and shared the link to join the community, so hopefully we’ll have even more friends here soon!

Thanks everyone! I’d be happy to connect with anyone who is interested in learning more about entrepreneurial public schools (I started one, wrote a book about it, and now work in another one - so it’s kinda my jam! 😄)

ME 😂 I just dropped a 4-part mini-series in the COMMUNICATION COURSE IN THE CLASSROOM. Go check it out, my friends, and let me know what you learned! 🤓

Loved this mini lesson @Joshua Palassis - we say the same phrase to our teachers at my school that the kids won’t care how much you know unless they know how much you care. And it’s true for everything, every time, I will buy something from someone or invest my time with someone who I know cares. 😁🙌
NEW PODCAST: AI Strategy & People-First Leadership 🤖
Most people see AI as a way to cut costs and replace people, but for @Alex Moy , a seasoned AI strategist who scaled an analytics center of excellence for a major U.S. bank, the goal isn't a takeover... it's a collaboration. I sat down with Alex to discuss his journey from being the son of immigrant parents to managing a $250M P&L and driving $440M in growth, only to walk away from executive leadership to put his family first. 𝗪𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲: ✅ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗢𝗜 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗜: Why technical depth must be blended with financial expertise to deliver real business value. ✅ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 "𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁" 𝗣𝗶𝘃𝗼𝘁: The powerful advice from a mentor that led Alex to resign from a high-stakes corporate role to reclaim his time. ✅ 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺: How consistency of character and "seed planting" can impact lives in even the most professional settings. Alex’s perspective is a refreshing reminder that even in an era of rapid automation, human capital remains our most valuable asset. 👉 Watch the full conversation on YouTube & Spotify or HERE in the Classroom or listen everywhere else

@Steven Cruz We don’t have a specific course around teaching the students AI, but in individual ways, on specific assignments or projects, we may encourage kids to use AI to help brainstorm, or to help narrow their thinking down (or maybe broaden it, depending). We also give our teachers strategies for how to leverage AI to teach more effectively or efficiently. One really awesome guy you should know/follow is Doan Winkel. He’s an entrepreneurship professor at John Carroll University in the US and puts out some really good stuff on AI 😁.
More than Networking…it’s Connecting
The Connector Fight Club community is not just a space to “network”—it’s a place to genuinely connect, learn, and grow alongside thoughtful entrepreneurs and practitioners who actually show up. The conversations are grounded, generous, and master-class level, fueled by people who are doing the work in real time, not just talking about it. The culture is welcoming, curious, and intentional, which shows up in both the caliber of members and the depth of engagement. If you’re looking for a community that values substance over noise and real connection over transactions, this one delivers.

@Steven Cruz Thanks so much Steven! I’m glad you enjoyed the interview, and I feel you about being disengaged in school…I was too. In fact, in high school, I ditched way more than I showed up because I just didn’t see the relevance in any of it. It’s a big reason I became an educator and have worked so hard to make school better for other generations of kids. Also, I love the first page of your book! Thanks so much for sharing it (and yes, you used the em dash correctly 😉). I’d love to read more of it! I’m actually in the process of publishing my book about the school I opened. I’m a big believer in sharing our stories so that others can learn from our experiences. Glad you are in this community and hopefully we can continue to learn from each other! 😁

Something a lot of young entrepreneurs that I work with struggle with is not knowing how to succinctly explain what their idea is and why it should matter to people. Just because there is passion from the founder, doesn’t mean others will automatically feel that same passion enough to invest in or buy what you’re offering. So learning how to convey things in a way that is both simple AND compelling, can be tough!
