🙏🗣️ I Need Your Help — This Goes Straight to Coaches 🗣️🙏
I was fortunate to be asked to speak at next years Oklahoma Softball Winter Clinic, and I want to represent what actually matters to hitters, coaches, and parents. I have no idea what area or topic I want to cover, so I'm asking ALL OF YOU to share a topic you'd be interested in hearing if you were sitting there and listening to me talk hitting. 👇 Drop your feedback in the comments: - What hitting topics do you want coaches to understand better? - What do coaches miss when teaching hitters? - What concepts finally “clicked” for you that more coaches should know? - What problems do you see over and over with hitters at practices or games? - Nothing is off-limits. Mechanics, mental game, development, youth vs HS vs college gaps, in-game adjustments, all of it. If you’ve ever said “I wish coaches would stop teaching this” or “I wish they’d emphasize this more” — this is the place to say it. @Jason Conley @Dean Wilson @Michael Patock @Jamie Crawford @Peter Attar @Jason Barger @Thurman Lynch @Suri Virasih

I’ve learned so much from you. The things that are a game changer for me was ground force reaction, core and posture, equal and opposite reactions. They are lucky to have you.
Spring Training
Hi everyone, can you please share your plans for Spring Training? I’m looking into options for 16U-18U. Any recommendations would be much appreciated thank you.

We like to offer our players some kind of training/games during the week of March 15-21. In the past, we’ve sent players to Jackie Robinson Facility in Vero Beach, FL and the Dominican Republic. Where do your players go or do they not travel in the spring?

Cool. Unfortunately, high school baseball in Canada is nothing like the US. All sports actually. We are so behind.
💬 What Are YOUR Thoughts On This? 💬
Bases loaded Bottom of the 9th 2 outs Down by 1 Treinen throws a back foot slider in and off the plate that would’ve/could’ve hit Turang to bring in the tying run. Question for you: If you’re in that spot, are you taking that pitch off the body to tie the game? Or are you moving out of the way like Turang did? & WHY do you think he got out of the way?

If you want to break it down, a ton of factors to consider. It’s game 1 of a 7 game series. Doesn’t matter what level of baseball, you always want to secure that g1 win. But at the same time it’s game 1 and you don’t want to take yourself out of this series and especially the next one. I think if he wore it, it would have been mid back/ribs. He would have been fine. Up and in towards your head, definitely not wearing it. It’s the post season. Nothing can ever get you prepared for those moments. Phillies lost on a fundamental PFP. Sometimes the moment gets the best of you. You’ve live it, learned from it, put in the bank for the next time. There will be a next time. My Jays threw their game plan out the window. And the bull pen sucks. John’s circus act. Leave the starters in!!! Hitters love fresh arms.
Work is paying off
Nice in game swing. Thanks Lane for your help this season.

🚨 NEW: OK Swings Bat Speed Program is Live 🚨
The OK Swings Bat Speed Program is officially live and ready for you to download This 6 week program will help you clean up movement patterns, tighten up direction, and start generating real bat speed from the right places — the core, trunk, and hips If you’ve been swinging hard but not hitting the ball harder… this is probably what’s missing. 📥 Grab the PDF at the bottom of this post I’ll also drop it in the Classroom for easy access soon. Here’s what you’ll get: ✔️ A clear weekly plan - Bat speed drills, med ball work, and core finishers laid out for 6 full weeks - Every drill is linked to a video — no guessing ✔️ Movement that actually matters - You’ll stop spinning out and start learning how to move from the middle - This is about force production, not just swinging harder with your arms ✔️ Modified sets and reps by age - Whether you’re 13 or 18+, the volume is adjusted to meet you where you’re at - Includes guidance for light/heavy bats, PVC pipes, and med balls ✔️ Max intent, not burnout - You’re training for speed, not exhaustion - Full recovery between reps so each one actually counts If you buy in and stick with it… You’ll feel more connected, more explosive through the zone, and in control of your swing from start to finish. It’s a straightforward plan — nothing fancy — but if you commit to it, it delivers. Let me know if you’re in. —Lane
