Lately, I feel like I’ve been on a talk-show circuit—call after call, conversation after conversation. And no matter who I’m talking to, the answer I keep giving is always the same. ⭐"Just show up."⭐ Three simple words. My secret sauce. In fact, they might be the most powerful words a Skooler can carry. Because showing up is deceptively easy—and that’s exactly why people avoid it. “I’ll let you know.” “I’ll see.” “I can’t commit right now.” Those phrases feel safe. Polite. Reasonable.But they quietly shut the door on something extraordinary. When you show up, you don’t just attend a call—you collide with possibility. You might meet a future collaborator. You might meet someone who thinks like you, wants what you want, and ends up building alongside you. What if you meet the one person who fills a gap you didn’t even know existed. You might learn a skill. You might spark an idea. You might change someone’s life—without ever realizing you did. Think of it this way: 😍 You are the gift! 😍 And when you show up, your presence matters. It shifts rooms. It changes conversations. It makes people feel seen. It creates belief. This is well said, @Nick Nebelsky. What most people miss is that “showing up” is not motivational advice. It’s a systems principle. Presence creates surface area for collisions. Collisions create information. Information compounds into relationships, skill, and opportunity. You don’t get leverage by waiting until you feel ready. You get it by being present while things are still imperfect and unfinished. That’s where the real signal lives. Also agree with the quieter point you’re making. Showing up isn’t about being loud or impressive. It’s about being consistent and available long enough for trust to form. That’s rare, and it’s why it works. Great reminder.
Where I Disappear To, Why I Always Come Back, and What's Dropping Next Week
Outside of BBC, I run 5 other companies. Some automated, some not. This week was nonstop. Family, customers, meetings, building and scaling. You'll never hear me say I'm busy, or exhausted, or burnt out, because truly I love the thrill of it all. I've also found that I always come back here. And honestly, it's not even close. The conversations in this room are different. The energy is different. Helping people land clients, scale their skools, and launch products from Pandora's Box has been a joy I haven't felt in years. This room is rare. Business Builders Evolution has sparked an excitement in me I haven't felt in a long time. There's so many incredible and passionate people with world changing missions in this room and I'm just honored to be around it all. Most communities don't have this. I've been in enough to know. That says a lot about the room you’ve built. When someone is running multiple companies and still chooses to come back to the same place, that’s signal, not sentiment. It means the conversations are real, the feedback loops are honest, and people are actually building instead of posturing. Looking forward to the learnings you share. Wins and failures from real operating environments are always more useful than polished theory. Appreciate the consistency in showing up and keeping this grounded in action.

That last reminder is the important part. It’s easy to stay mentally “on” all the time, especially in a fast-moving community like this. Stepping back, being present, and actually recharging is what makes the work sustainable long term. Low key weekend here. Reset, a bit of thinking time, and back at it next week.
