Why I created my community
Why I Created Love Yourself to Health 💖 In 2004, I was diagnosed with a rare skin cancer that didn’t respond to radiation or chemotherapy. The only real option I was given was surgery; they could keep cutting, but they couldn’t really tell me how to heal. Deep down, I knew there had to be more. In 2010, I found the raw food lifestyle while searching for ways to support my body. I had struggled with my weight my whole life, and through that season I lost 150 pounds while also trying to get my health back. That experience changed me. For seven years, I kept the weight off. I made kombucha, sold it through a café, shared what I was learning, and helped others understand healthy eating in a way that felt empowering instead of punishing. I loved helping people see that their bodies were not the enemy, but life kept teaching me that healing is not just about food. Grief, stress, family pain, relationship heartbreak, cancer, and survival mode all showed me something deeper: 💖 You can change what you eat and still not feel at home in your body. 💖 You can lose the weight and still carry the wound. 💖 You can look like you’re doing better and still feel disconnected from yourself. That realization is what led me here. I didn’t just need another healthy eating plan. I needed to reconnect with myself, rebuild self-trust, and understand why I kept abandoning myself in the name of love, peace, responsibility, survival, and “being fine.” This is not work I teach from a finish line. It is work I live from the inside. My body has changed through different seasons of life, but I no longer see that as a reason to disconnect from myself. Healing, to me, is not about becoming who I used to be. It is about honoring who I am now. I believe healing is not about becoming perfect. It is about reconnecting with your whole self; body, mind, and heart. This is the core of what I teach now. 💖

Dad Jokes
What did the veterinarian say?
when a dog with a fever was brought in? "Quick", he said "get me some mustard." (because that's what you put on a hot dog) Share your favorite dad joke in the comments

Ack! I need to catch the replay!
Why did the barber cross the road
Okay, so I'm working tonight and I tell jokes to engage my customers while I'm twisting balloons. Every now and then a customer will tell me a joke. This is the one a little girl told me. Why? Because he was looking for a short cut

Can you turn your vocation into a vacation?
I am in the process of going from working from home to working out of an office. At the beginning of this year I made a commitment to treat my business seriously and not just as a hobby. So, in January 2026 I rented a one-room office in an executive office suites building. I am slowly transitioning from working at home to working out of the office. As I am moving things, I came across a journal from 2009. and I open the journal to a random page. I came across an entry where I was talking about making a commitment to my business. That was more than 16 years ago. I finally did it. The biggest lesson for me after reading that entry is that there is a huge difference between thinking about making a commitment and making a commitment. And that goes for everything. Thinking about something, and doing it are two different things. But the most interesting thing that caught my attention from that journal was a phrase I had written that made me put the journal down and start writing this post "Make your vocation, is your vacation." As the saying goes, if you're doing what you love to do, it ain't work. I Googled for the meaning of the word vocation. This is what it says: A strong feeling of suitability for a particular career or occupation. FEELING OF SUITABILITY In other words, something you enjoy doing. If you enjoy what you're doing to earn an income, you don't feel the need to escape from it, or take a vacation. Doyou agree? If you could choose a vocation, what would it be? @Rasheed Hooda BULLCRAP is right!!!!! I never take vacations because I don't need to. I take time away from the office, but I never "need" a vacation. That is freedom.
