Gratitude ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ
This week we did something beyond amazing: The Finale of SPEAKERx cohort 2 โœจ 8 beautiful people went through training for 6 weeks to go from Idea to Signature Talk delivered on a stage in front of a live audience. -> From Page to Stage The work that every individual put in to create the talk, develop, rehearse, optimize and deliver.. Iโ€™m so incredibly proud ๐Ÿ™ The videos from the event will now go into editing and in the coming weeks we will be posting them here and on Youtube. I want to thank every single person who took part in the event, speakers, staff and guests. This experience is what we create together ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ

@Semih Yalap yes to both reading books and talking to others (friends, family and therapist, coaches, psychiatrists etc.). As well as doing lots of self reflection. Taking personality tests of different sorts can help to get the self reflection started. I can talk for ages about this and have a ton of recommendations regarding books, tests etc. So let me know if you want further tips โ˜บ๏ธ

@Semih Yalap haha, yes.. the amount is individual, both as how much you need and want to invest in yourself and your growth ๐Ÿ˜ itโ€™s a never ending journey in my opinion. One of the first books I read in self leadership was โ€The leader who had no titleโ€ by Robin Sharma. Highly recommend that one to everyone ๐Ÿ˜Š When it comes to tests I recommend the CliftonStrengths assessment (full 34) and preferably in combination with coaching. Not because Iโ€™m a certified CliftonStrengths coach myself, but because I have an education and professional background in HR and this is the personality test I have come across that I find least โ€boxingโ€ of people. I also love those self reflection โ€booksโ€ with questions to reflect upon and answer for yourself. On top of that I think learning and expanding ones view of all sorts of matters can be helpful. Reading books on, watching documentaries, listening to podcast, taking classes or talking to people that are different from you. And reflect on your reactions to that and your behaviour etc. Could for example be the LGBTQI+ community or any other community you know little about and especially if you might have prejudice towards them. I might have even more recommendations but those would be more based on the individual and where they are at and where they come from / where they wish to go ๐Ÿ˜Š Hope that was helpful?
Energy during a speech
Iโ€™m working on a speech that has a relatively heavy topic but where I will bring some lightness to it too, however I do feel that I struggle with making it energetic and would love your help ๐Ÿ™ What do you do or whatโ€™s your recommendation to come across as energetic during a speech? What is it to bring energy for you? What are you looking for when listening to a public speaker in this regard?

@Amir Salemi I do not really mean anything specific by โ€energeticโ€ but was instead curious to hear how others define it ๐Ÿ˜Š What is it about Tony Robbins that make you define him as โ€energeticโ€?

@Unity Williams do you mean that giving a speech fuels you with energy? Or that your energy run away from you when youโ€™re about to give a speech?
SPEAKERx video 5: Jutta Wohlrab
Continuing our SPEAKERx series of videos ๐Ÿคฉ This time I have the privilege of introducing Jutta Wohlrab ๐Ÿ™Œ Jutta Wohlrab is a professional midwife and speaker with decades of experience supporting women in high-pressure, transformative moments. Her work focuses on leadership, systems change, and gender equality. In this talk, Jutta Wohlrab challenges long-standing assumptions around leadership, power, and gender. Drawing on both research and lived experience, she highlights why asking women to adapt to existing structures often leads to poorer outcomes, not better ones. Connect with Jutta on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/juttawohlrab/
