Ice Breaker and Etude 1.1
I am new to the group and just saying hi...I am working on the first lesson and here is etude 1.1. Sorry about the sorry sound quality, I will work on that. Trying to get used to making the chord changes. Feedback is always welcome...thanks! https://youtu.be/-VxwbqbVv9A

@Andy Openshaw ...aaaaand he's off! Nice ice breaker Andy. Good start. I look forward to seeing you progress through the etudes. You are going to learn a ton!
Etude 1.4. Root on 5. Charlestons.

@Nancy R Wow - you are plowing through these quite well! Great progress Nancy. My only suggestion would be to perhaps play along with Marc's track more. I think I read that you have done that, but I haven't heard it so perhaps just not in the recordings yet. Your timing seems good nonetheless!
Mashup Etudes Charleston and Combo
I took Marc's advice on the lesson and combined these 4 etudes...took a little concentration at first. https://youtu.be/fEtX5iSJYWc

@Andy Openshaw nice Andy!
Summer's End (step 1)
I'm starting to work these days with volume 3 of Barry Galbraith (with Marc's videos, they are fantastic!), very difficult and very useful at the same time. To relax a little, I wanted to start playing a piece by Ralph Towner that I've always liked: Summer's End, a beautiful ballad. I've made the chord sequence with iReal Pro (I attach an image). It's the second tribute that I dedicate to my beloved Ralph Towner (who I've been listening to since I was sixteen) and who passed away this past January. I'll also try to make a chord melody, let's see if I can manage it.

@Miquel Bassols really really nice Miquel! I see why you like it so much. What a happy feel. How could anyone not smile while hearing it?? Well done!

@Miquel Bassols Wow - that's really nice! I've heard you mention and play him, but this is the first I've heard him play. I love it!
NT Cycle of 4ths Exercisse
I'm posting a homework assignment here. Not very exciting for the community, but at least sharing it rather than submitting directly to @Coach Gabriel Sebrian. The assignment was to perform one of the neighboring tone drills while cycling in fourths, primarily staying in/near one position. The objectives are to drive home the NT approach while also increasing fretboard knowledge. I think both objectives are being met. As I have bemoaned in the past, I can do so much more than what is shown here without a pulse. I did take some liberties on the actual notes assigned to make it feel more musical (Coach - forgive me!). I intentionally aimed for a shuffle feel, and also intentionally made the first note of each four note sequence staccato for effect. I'm very happy and excited about where my improv is going, and expect to be able to post something more interesting than exercises within a few weeks. I recognize I keep resolving to post more and then fail to do so. Apparently between work and the rest of my non-retired life I'm just going to continue to have this challenge. Fortunately, I have been playing a helluva lot and am making what I feel is great progress, irrespective of being able to post at a regular clip to show it! https://youtu.be/WzMjgLVeuN4 I'll be posting some Ligonesque connector method exercises soon too. I'm happy with where that's going also.

Environmental enginerd by day. Picker by night. Hoping to start sounding like I've been playing for, um, as long as I've been playing.
