When It’s Free, Ask Twice. Not All That’s Free Is Worth the Cost.
One thing I’ve learned in business (sometimes the hard way) is that “free” isn’t always a favor—it can be a setback.
From free services, free samples, to free mentorship… if there’s no clarity, structure, or real value behind it, it could end up costing you more—in time, results, or missed opportunities.
Sometimes, that “free” advice or offer delays your growth more than it helps, because:
  • It lacks accountability
  • There’s no proper strategy behind it
  • You end up fixing or restarting from scratch
My mindset now?If it’s free, I ask twice. I check the track record. I check the intention. I ask: “What will this really cost me?”
Anyone else learned this lesson too? How do you assess “free” opportunities or offers?
