7v7 at U18
My current coaching environment in Thailand is very small-sided driven, 7v7 being more popular than 11v11 (both watching and playing). As a result, everything I coach is 7v7 - 24 minute games, 2 x 12 minute halves, squads of 12
If you was in this situation (the game being very intense, very physically demanding due to heat and humidity) how would you manage a U18 side? Consider training and games
1 suggestion I've had in the past from the ex-Academy Manager at Chelsea was to switch players every 3 mins so that they could go at 100%. Tried it a few times - some games beneficial, others not and similarly some players liked it, others prefer growing into a game
