Crafting vision into reality
Origin:
A patient I cared for during residency, whose severe wound led to a poor outcome, set me on this path. Right now, I’m a wound care physician and budding educator who’s poured a lot of love into building the WoundFit Community. It’s been a fulfilling but nonlinear journey—one full of learning curves, overcommitment, and trying to balance being a mom, creator, and clinician. I’m in a place where the vision is clear but the logistics can feel like quicksand. Some days it feels like I’m building in the dark, other days I’m filled with hope.
Desired Future State:
I want to build a community-powered wound care education business with multiple streams of income that is profitable, healing, and joyful—where people learn through connection, story, and support. I’d like this to give me more time freedom, financial independence, and the ability to create a new kind of trusted space in wound care. I’d also like to be a respected voice in the field, not because I know it all—but because I never stop learning and sharing.
Why:
Because wound care shouldn’t feel like a mystery or a burden. Because healthcare providers deserve clarity and confidence. I also want to show up fully in my life, with time for the things that matter most to me and my family.
Fears:
Will I overextend myself? Will this be just another thing people forget about or not even take off at all? Will I make the wrong calls while trying to get this off the ground?
The fear of not trying is greater that all of these ears put together though ...So I’m pushing through.
Thank you for creating this community!
